Announcing a new limited edition print by Tahj Rust

Rust’s paintings use portraiture to explore emotion, presence, and the moments that stay with us. Drawing from personal experience, travel, history, and fiction, his work reflects on how memories and feelings can linger long after a moment has passed.

In “Rückenfigur III”, a solitary figure stands before the Atlantic Ocean in a quiet moment of reflection. Rather than focusing on the figure himself, the work invites viewers to pause and consider the ocean as a place shaped by centuries of history, memory, migration, and human connection.

A portion of prints are hand embellished by the artist with details drawn from the shoreline and the sea, including birds, swimmers, boats, and other elements that bring the landscape to life. These additions make every print unique and give the central figure a sense of quiet companionship, while deepening the connection between the individual, the ocean, and the world around him.
 
A portion of the proceeds will benefit One Tree Planted, to help further its mission of global reforestation.
